I’m thrilled that you've decided to stop by and learn more about what we're all about. My name is Briana, and I'm your trainer and the creator of Barre Unbound. I want to take a moment to share my story with you and why Barre Unbound means so much to me.

I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) two years ago. This diagnosis came as a shock, and the damage to my kidneys progressed rapidly. It completely changed my perspective on wellness, both as someone recovering from illness and as a fitness instructor.

It was during this challenging time that I realized the true extent of what wellness encompasses. It's like a puzzle with different pieces that come together to make us whole. Physical health, mental well-being, spiritual growth, movement, and recovery are all essential aspects of our overall well-being. Yet, we often find ourselves neglecting one part while hyper-focusing on others. Finding balance can be a real struggle.

Going through my illness, managing medications, treatments, doctor's appointments, fatigue, and flares made me realize that I needed to reevaluate my own wellness puzzle. I had to learn to give as much time to my recovery as I did to movement and fitness. It's a journey many of us can relate to—knowing that we need to make adjustments in one area of our lives while letting go a little in another. We've all been there, right?

That's why I created Barre Unbound. My goal is to build a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to achieving balance and supporting one another along the way. We're all seeking that steady equilibrium in our lives, even though our paths, motivations, and journeys may differ. The desire to find balance and peace as we explore wellness is universal.

My passion for practicing Barre as a student eventually led me to become a fitness instructor. I wanted to help others explore wellness in more meaningful ways. I believe in the power of movement, and specifically, how Barre can be an incredible tool for building strength, determination, and resilience.

But Barre Unbound is about so much more than just the physical practice. It's about connection, sharing stories, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. Together, we can inspire and motivate one another to push beyond our perceived limitations. We can break down the barriers that hold us back and achieve things we once thought impossible.

I'm genuinely grateful that you're here, and I'm looking forward to connecting with you and sharing our stories along this incredible journey called life.
